The future of food depends on how we innovate in the kitchen. Sustainable food technology is transforming the way we cook, eat, and think about resources. From reducing energy use and cutting down on food waste, to supporting healthier diets and reconnecting with whole foods, new tools and approaches are helping households and communities make everyday cooking more sustainable. At its core, sustainable cooking technology means doing more with less, less waste, less time, less energy, while creating meals that are nutritious and environmentally responsible. These innovations empower people to cook from scratch, use seasonal and local ingredients, and avoid unnecessary packaging or processing. The Thermomix, showcased at Savour, is one example of how technology can support this shift: a multi-functional appliance that replaces multiple machines, reduces waste, and helps make sustainable cooking simpler and more accessible.
