Join one of the country’s finest bodhrán players for a crash course on the ins and outs of our ancient, beloved national drum. Tommy Lanigan is a true legend of the traditional music scene both in Kilkenny and indeed across Ireland and beyond. A sought-after accompanist and bodhrán maestro for trad sessions, Tommy will take a break from the trad trail this St.Patrick’s Weekend, to share his rhythmic secrets with a lucky few. And where better to explore this ancient instrument than in the beautiful, historic setting of Rothe House.
