Sunday 25th October 2026
Location: Butler House
Step back into 1786 and immerse yourself in the grandeur of Georgian Kilkenny with an exclusive dining experience at Butler House. Built 240 years ago as the magnificent dower house for Kilkenny Castle, this historic estate provides an enchanting backdrop to celebrate centuries of architectural and culinary heritage. Set within the elegant surroundings of The Lady Eleanor room, guests will be transported to an era of refined hospitality, beginning the evening with an arrival cocktail and handcrafted canapés before sitting down to an extraordinary feast. The highlight of the night is a curated five-course dinner that pays homage to the lavish banquets favored by Georgian high society. Drawing inspiration from authentic period menus, the meal celebrates the rich bounty of County Kilkenny and its surrounding landscapes. Guests will savor dishes crafted from local game, fresh fish caught in nearby waters, regional vegetables, and sweet fruits from the garden blending historic tradition with exceptional local flavors. This intimate gathering takes place on Sunday, 25th October at 7:00 PM at Butler House, located on Patrick Street in Kilkenny (R95 YY43). Tickets are priced at €95 per person, which covers the full dining experience including the arrival reception and five-course dinner. Because seating at the long table is limited, pre-booking directly with the venue via phone, text, or email is essential, and guests are advised to state any dietary requirements when making their reservation.
