We invite you to join us for an evening immersed in Kilkenny lore, culture, storytelling and great Irish Whiskey, from Clonakilty!

Clonakilty Irish Whiskey and their Distillery in Cork is one of the great proponents of the ‘new wave’ of producers on the island. Officially opened in March 2019 to great fanfare, the distillery is located on the South West tip of the Island of Ireland, along the rugged atlantic coast. The whiskey is crafted.. in their own words… “using un-malted barley as well as malted. Lengthening the fermentation time, giving their natural yeast the all the time it needs to enhance the flavour. Triple-distilling the whiskey, for a lighter, sweeter spirit. Adding the water slowly and incrementally in way they call ‘gentle cut’. Ageing the liquid in oak casks and exposing those casks to the Atlantic air. Letting the whiskey mature for as long as it takes…”

The Clon team will be bring a delectable selection of spirits from the range as well as some special treats (of course!) and Kyteler’s hospitality will be on hand to make this a most special of evenings in the time honoured fashion! This will be our maiden voyage in JD’s new Whiskey Bar so will be extra special and not to be missed!
