Location: Parade Plaza, Kilkenny City
Taking over the Parade Plaza, the hub of the festival, the festival funfair will return for 2026. Open throughout St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny, visitors to the Parade can expect traditional carnival rides including The Big Wheel, The Helter Skelter, Vintage Carousel and more.

The festival funfair is situated in the centre of Kilkenny city on the Parade Plaza in front of Kilkenny Castle and beside the Festival Market on the Mayor’s Walk!

The Big Wheel

See Kilkenny from up high! Come down to the Parade and enjoy a spin on the Big Wheel and get birdseye views of Kilkenny’s Medieval city, Kilkenny Castle and the festival activities on The Parade plaza.

Prices: €6 General | €5 for children under 1.3m | €20 family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children under 1.3m)

The Big Wheel is wheelchair accessible, although it is dependent on the size of the wheelchair. Ask at the Big Wheel for further details.
