Have you ever wanted to try stand-up? Or you’ve given it a go and want to improve?
Our new introduction to stand-up comedy course is the thing for you! Over a seven week course (six classes and a performance night) you can learn the basics of stand-up including joke writing, stage persona, performance, improvisation and how to find the funny in any situation. So whether you want to become a comedian or just build confidence in your presenting and public speaking we have you covered.
The course is led by Kilkenny Comedy Club host Cian McGarrigle running every Sunday from 29th Sept to 17th Nov (excluding Oct 27th). The whole course is being offered at the ridiculously affordable price of 35 euro per person! Spaces are limited so book now!

Cian McGarrigle has been performing stand-up since 2011. He has also written extensively for TV and Radio on shows such as Republic of Telly, Callan’s Kicks, The Doireann Project and Nowhere Fast.
Thanks to Kilkenny County Council and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht Sport and Media, this course has been supported with funding from Call 2 of the Night Time Economy Diversification Grant Scheme.
