Escape for a day trip to Kilkenny’s beautiful countryside! Be part of an intimate guided food and drink trail to an Organic Orchard, taste Irish whiskies, visit a trout farm, and enjoy a curated lunch at a tapas restaurant. You will ‘Meet the Makers’ who produce some of Kilkenny’s finest food and drink.
€150 per person – includes all tastings, lunch, and transport. Optional wine pairing at Tabu Tapas – additional €25 for 4 wines.

1. Highbank Orchards – Organic Apple Farm & Distillery (9:30 AM – 11:00 AM)
Tour Ireland’s only fully organic apple farm, Highbank Orchards. Learn about cider, apple spirits, and vinegars and enjoy a tasting of their award-winning organic ciders and apple brandy.
2.Malzards Pub – Craft Whiskey & Spirits (11:30 PM – 12:30 PM)
Whiskey Tasting with Brian Hennessy
Join whiskey enthusiast Brian Hennessy for a guided tasting experience that explores the rich history of Irish whiskey. This session will feature three distinct whiskeys, offering insight into their unique production methods, distillation techniques, and flavour profiles. Perfect for both newcomers and seasoned whiskey lovers, this tasting promises an engaging journey through Ireland’s most iconic spirit in Ireland’s Pub of the Year 2025 – Malzard’s of Stoneyford.
3. Goatsbridge Trout Farm – Ireland’s Premier Trout Producer (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
Explore a working trout farm with a behind-the-scenes look at sustainable aquaculture from the crystal clear waters of the Little Arrigle River. Taste Goatsbridge trout and patés on delicious Lekker baked bread with homemade butter produced by Helen Finnegan, another Kilkenny food champion. Mag and Helen’s products will excite your tastebuds.
4.Tabú Tapas – Farm-to-Table Lunch (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
A curated lunch showcasing the best of Kilkenny’s produce – selection of tapas delivered in 4 courses – vegetarian, seafood, meat, followed by dessert. Seasonal dishes inspired by local farms. Wine pairing also available of 4 wines x 125ml glasses for an additional €25.
Vegetations will be offered additional veggie tapa. Gluten Free options are also available. (Vegan options available but ONLY if stipulated in advance please.)
