Ohio State University Marching Band

St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny is delighted to welcome Ohio State University Marching Band for their first trip to Kilkenny!

Nicknamed ‘The Best Damn Band in the Land’. The band was founded in 1878 and will travel to Ireland for the first time in 2026, having previously performed at the 2015 NFL International Series at Wembley Stadium, the 2018 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and a number of Rose Bowls. Their Band Director is Christopher Hoch.

270 performers will make the trip to Ireland during which time they will perform in a number of places around the country including the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The Ohio State University Marching Band will perform in Kilkenny as part of St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny on Monday 16th March at 12.30pm. The performance will take place in Kilkenny Castle Park. Everyone is invited to come along to welcome our visitors and enjoy this unique spectacle!

Please note all Marching Band performances are weather dependent and at the discretion of the performers. Please check our social media pages for updates! Why not make a day of it on Monday by coming along at 11am for the Campo Verde HS Marching Band performance and enjoy the Festival Market and Funfair!
