Quay Notes returns to Kilkenny with an open‑air celebration of contemporary Irish animation and live musical composition from the Irish Composers’ Collective. Date: Sunday, 9 August Time: 9pm – 10.30pm Location: Canal Square, Dukesmeadows, Kilkenny City As night falls along the canal, animated films by emerging and established artists will come to life outdoors, accompanied by a specially curated live ensemble. This live performance will transform the city into an open-air cinematic experience, set against the dramatic backdrop of Kilkenny Castle. A unique collaboration between Irish animators and the Irish Composers’ Collective, Quay Notes invites audiences to experience film, sound and place in an entirely new way. Dress for the weather and Bring your own chair! If the weather does not play ball, our alternative venue will be The Bank (1st Floor, The Bank, Rose Inn Street, R95 Y672).
