Location: The Castle Yard, Kilkenny City
Santa will travel in his sleigh up Rose Inn Street, along the Parade and turn into the Castle Yard to meet with the children and families at approximately 4pm.
Families will be able to have their photo taken with Santa in his sleigh and boys and girls might like to write their own special message on a postcard for him to bring back to Santa Claus in the North Pole.
Santa’s visit is led by John Holohan in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital. Every winter, John shuts down his workshop and becomes Santa Claus during the month of December with his true to life reindeer and sleigh. Over the years John, as Santa for Charity, has raised quite literally hundreds of thousands of euros for the Temple Street Children’s Hospital, bringing magic and joy to countless numbers of children.
To see the excitement and joy on the children’s faces when Santa comes to town, really is magic. Do please join us for this lovely festive gathering.
This is a FREE event and all are very welcome. Any donation, however small will be very gratefully received on the afternoon with 100% of all proceeds going to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
