Saturday 06th December 2025
Location: The Parade, Kilkenny City
Santa Claus is coming to town on the Santa Truck! All in Aid of Lauralynn Children’s Hospice. Santa & Mrs Claus will be driving to Kilkenny on December 6th. This unique Christmas experience allows you to visit Santa and Mrs Claus in their home on the road – the Santa Truck! All in aid of Lauralynn’s Children’s Hospice. Watch the lit-up Santa truck drive past or join us at it’s final stop on The Parade, beside the Yulefest Christmas Market, where Children will be able to come aboard the truck and see Santa’s Grotto. On the night Santa’s helpers will be collecting donations for the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice (cash and card). We ask that you support this very worthy cause with a donation (as little as €1 per person can make a huge difference!) or you can donate online ahead of the event at idonate.ie. Follow @SantaTruck on Facebook to track their route and see if the truck will be passing a road near you. The Santa Truck will have some children’s items on sale on the night, all proceeds from these will go to the Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice. Please note: This is a free event, but donations to LauraLynn are greatly appreciated. Entrance will be on a first come first served basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Attendees will likely have to queue to go inside the truck, so please dress appropriately for the weather. LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative and supportive care services to meet the needs of children with life limiting conditions and their families in Ireland. This support is provided through Direct Care, Family Support, Symptom Management, End-of-Life Care, and Bereavement Support. Donations help them make the most of short and precious lives. The Santa Truck is run on a voluntary basis and all money raised goes directly to LauraLynn Children’s Hospice. The Santa’s Truck visit to Kilkenny is supported by MERLYN
