The Fews Ensemble – Northern Ireland’s outstanding chamber music group – returns to the Festival with a pair of lunchtime concerts exploring a diverse range of works.The first concert focuses on Messiaen’s visionary Quartet for the End of Time. Written while the composer was a prisoner of war in Germany, and first performed by his fellow prisoners, it is now considered one of his most important works.
