The Songs of Tom Smith was created in 2014 with a large pool of musicians across Australia. In 2023 and 2024, Tom came to Europe to replicate his model of a separate band for each city he visits, and this year Tom and his band will be playing shows in towns and cities across Germany, Ireland, and England.

Lately Tom’s been focusing on his characters The Dandy at the End of the World and The Camp Cowboy Preacher. Songs like Dandy Immortal, Truckin’ for Jesus, and Camp it Up Cowboy, showcase his dark humour on topics such as organised religion, masculinity and gender identity.

Performances involve camp and flamboyant stage-wear and entertaining and provocative dialogue to link songs and involve the audience. It’s a wild and exhilarating ride, and always a fun night. You just have to choose a horse to mount, because as it says in his song title, you better ‘Giddy Up for God or Saddle Up for Satan!’
