St. Patrick’s Festival is delighted to host this yFears Céilí Mór in the River Court Hotel Kilkenny on Saturday the 16th of March at 8pm. With music by the Tulla Céilí band from Co. Clare. In association with Craobh Osraí Marble City and Kilkenny Tradfest.
The Tulla Ceili Band was formed in 1946 to take part in a Ceili Band competition at Feile Luimni. P Joe Hayes and Paddy Canny were some of the first members to join. Down through the years the Tulla Ceili Band have performed at both national and international events. The Band has performed at Ceilis, concerts and Festivals,ranging from the Willie Clancy festival to The Electric Picnic. As the Band heads for it’s 80th anniversary there is a healthy mix of young and old talented musicians keeping the traditional East Clare style of music alive.
