Join us at the National Reptile Zoo for an immersive art-nature exhibition as part of AKA 2025 in collaboration with the [K]NORE Your River – season of river encounters and celebrations – a Climate Action Works Initiative.

Within, Beyond, Above & Below — an exhibition by Tasneem Khan & Adrian Hennessy, presented by [K]Nore Your River and the National Reptile Zoo, opens August 7–17 as part of the Alternative Kilkenny Arts (AKA) Fringe.

This year’s Nature Gallery invites viewers to experience the River Nore as more than water — as memory, cosmos, and connection. Through striking underwater imagery and celestial-scape abstractions, the artists reflect on what lies beneath and far beyond the visible. From Kilkenny’s riverbanks to echoing ecosystems worldwide, the work blurs boundaries between place, species, self, and story.

Step into a space where ecology and imagination converge — where belonging means being part of something flowing, shifting, and alive.

A portion of all sales will directly support the field conservation work conducted by the National Reptile Zoo.
