Its Official!!!! – Zoo Club/Underground Gigs Reunion
After over 15 years since the last Underground Gig in the Zoo Club, we are getting some of the bands back together and putting on a reunion show to celebrate one of the greatest eras in our local music scene. I’m delighted to announce that the original line ups of Itchy Trigger Finger, White Noise and Bad Mothers Union will reunite for one night only and will also be joined by what I call the last band standing as Chemical Addiction have remained a band ever since.
The venue is Set Theatre and the date is, of course a Sunday as always, December 10th at 7pm. I’m going through the vaults and Ill be pulling out old posters and photos from back in the day. Ill post them here but I also hope to have a lot on display in Set for the reunion.I’m extremely grateful to the four bands I have on the bill as they are going above and beyond to make this gig happen. Jimmy Trigger is travelling all the way from Los Angeles and I some are travelling from Scotland.
I’m also excited to have these names on a line-up again after all these years.
One person who would have loved to see this happening and who I often spoke to about organising a reunion is the late great Ross Costigan who did so much for the shows back then through his great photography and his support for local bands. So this gig will take place in his honour and all proceeds will go towards suicide prevention and awareness.
See you all there!
