Friday June 13th and Friday June 27thLearn the art of Intaglio printmaking at Butler Gallery. Throughout the duration of the course participants will take an experimental approach to drypoint printmaking, where you will experiment with scribing into a variety of materials including perspex and tetrapak, before adding colour with Chine colle. Each class will begin with a demonstration, and a chat about the printmaking processes we are using on that day, preparing sketches for that plate and the the workings of the etching press.For our last session we will have an introduction to linocutting, preparing sketches for linocutting, exploring different tools, and different ways to print our blocks.
