Songwriting Masterclass with Emma Langford

Sunday 15th March 2026
Location: Pembroke Hotel
Join renowned Irish singer-songwriter Emma Langford for a unique and intimate insight into her creative process, in the cosy setting of the Pembroke Hotel this St.Patrick’s Weekend.

Emma puts a contemporary spin on the sound of Irish folk; her songs present a unique look at her country’s folklore and history, bringing ancient stories into the present.

‘Sowing Acorns’, released in 2021, solidified her place in the hearts and minds of the nation as she climbed the charts with epic folk ballad Birdsong, collaborated with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and performed with Stockton’s Wing on RTÉ’s Ireland In Music which has been broadcast across the world to a huge global audience. She also joined the ranks of pandemic-inspired musical supergroup, Irish Women In Harmony. Langford is on the road around Ireland, the US and Germany, collaborating with various international communities, and continuing her Arts Council-supported research around Irish women in myth and history.

In this one-off masterclass, Emma Langford will share some trade secrets and open a window into her world of writing, arranging, recording and performing. Revealing some of the joys and challenges of life as a modern musician, and with any luck – a few renditions of her favourites tunes.

So whether you’re an aspiring or established musician, or just a curious music-lover, grab yourself a ticket and a coffee and make your way to the Pembroke Hotel this Sunday 15th March at 1pm.
