Partners “Ghetto” Pat Calhoun and Perfidia Beverly Hills were members of politically radical revolutionary group ‘the French 75’. A betrayal by Perfidia left the group in ruins and Pat alone to care for their newborn baby Willa. Years later, Pat is living off the grid and is perpetually stoned – much to the frustration of his now teenage daughter. But when the French 75’s adversary Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw re-emerges to violently settle some old scores, Pat and Willa are cast into a chaotic fight for survival.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film is a triumphant scaling up of his cinematic ambitions. Wildly entertaining and delightfully unpredictable, it also features spectacular performances right across its ensemble cast.

“A bizarre action thriller driven by pulpy comic-book energy and transformed political indignation, [Anderson] keeping his pedal at all times welded to the metal.”
