Kilbeggan – ‘at the Heart of Irish Whiskey’
Ireland’s longest running licensed distillery, maintained since 1757 by McManus, then on to the Codds & Cuffee, to Locke’s and to the people of Kilbeggan prior to rebirth via Cooley and all on the same site by the river Brusna.

For this very special evening we will taste an eighty year span of liquid from the Old Kilbeggan heritage stills, stopping off at John Locke’s 1950’s Pure Pot Still, and through to the current day distillery reserve casks.

Your night will be lead through the history & technical operations by distiller and blender Sarah Dowling visiting from Kilbeggan Distillery & Chris Hennessy of The Brewery Corner.

The lineup includes

John Locke’s 7yo Pure Pot Still at Cask Strength – c.1954 bottling

Kilbeggan 50 Year Anniversary of stills decommission to recommission (1957-2007) distillery reserve 5 Year Old Malt. Bottled in 2012 and one of only 1200 bottles

Irish Whiskey Society Kilbeggan 8 Year Old Single Cask Pure Pot Still – one of only 217 bottles

Kilbeggan Distiller’s Cask – a special 10 year old cask draw for the occadion

Kilbeggan 11 Year Old Global Travel Retail Exclusive – Moscatel Wine Cask Finish

Kilbeggan Rye Small Batch Release from 2018

Kilbeggan 21 Year Old from 2014 (Bourbon, Port, Oloroso & Madeira casks)
