After two years documenting traditional cures and curses in Ireland’s border counties, Sarah McKenna presents a 45-minute storytelling performance about how these practices survive in modern Ireland. She explores ‘the cure’, the belief that particular people, places or objects can heal specific illnesses, alongside curses rooted in darker folklore and the land. The performance intertwines Irish mythology with stories collected from people who continue these traditions.
