This Halloween midterm, Jurassic Newpark in Kilkenny will transform into a prehistoric playground of Halloween magic for Jurassic Haunt, the park’s family-friendly daytime Halloween experience running from 24th October to 1st November 2026. Designed to combine dinosaurs, wizarding fun, interactive activities and just the right amount of spooky excitement for younger visitors, Jurassic Haunt offers families a packed day out with Halloween entertainment included throughout the park. Little witches and wizards can begin their adventure with the Jurassic Sorting Ceremony, receiving their own Sorting Certificate before taking part in an interactive Wizard Class, decorating a delicious chocolate apple and trying their luck at magical games including the Mystery Box and Spin the Wheel. Families can then venture onto The Wicked Walk, a shadowy dinosaur-filled Halloween trail complete with a scavenger hunt and prize, before braving the Haunted Cabin, exploring the Haunted Jurassic Castle with its stocks, gallows, eerie coffins and Wingeachaun Jail, and creeping through the cobweb-covered Spider Tunnel. The Halloween programme also includes the hugely entertaining Dino Dance Show, themed photo opportunities, face painting and a journey aboard the Jurassic Halloween Express Train. Alongside the seasonal attractions, visitors can enjoy many of Jurassic Newpark’s much-loved regular attractions, including Pterosaur Mountain, the Velociraptor Dino Ride, Fossil Dig Site, Mini Farm, Fairy Trail, Adventure Playground and Go Karts, making it much more than a traditional Halloween trail. With dinosaurs around every corner, hands-on activities, gentle scares and plenty for parents and children to enjoy together, Jurassic Haunt is designed as a full family Halloween day out in Kilkenny, combining imagination, adventure and Halloween mischief in one experience.
