Light Up the Castle, the spectacular audio-visual show projecting images onto the walls of Kilkenny Castle, has become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Festival calendar.
Each year presents a brand-new spectacular, projected onto the castle as night falls. For this year’s show, Light Up the Castle: SIX SIDES SAWN, the festival has commissioned video artist and filmmaker Jack Phelan, who will delivers a playful tribute to the art of illusion. Sprinkling a little magic of his own, Phelan presents the castle as you’ve never seen it before.

Please note: the installation features strobe lighting. Latecomers will not be admitted. Wheelchair users are advised to contact the Festival Box Office before the show. Gates open at 10.15pm at the Parade entrance.
