RTE Folk Music Awards nominee Padraig Jack delivers a totally engaging performance which comprises a series of moments which are supported by his disarming charm, whit, perspectives on society, Irish history and of course top quality songs in both English and Irish. A native of the Aran islands, Padraig is proudly bilingual both as a conversationalist and a songwriter. His debut album ‘Making Sand’ was released in September 2020 being named the RTE Radio Album of the Week.

After starting 2024 with headline appearances at Dublin Tradfest and an outdoor show at Kilkenny TradFest on St Patricks Day, he will release his second album in October 2024 which was again recorded with John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Damien Dempsey) and features contributions from musicians such as former Waterboys Anthony Thistlethwaite and Steve Wickham as well as Aldoc and Seán McKeon.

“Magic, there’s a deeply romantic core to Making Sand but Padraig Jack is too talented to ever veer into saccharine territory, authenticity is his hallmark” – The Alternate Root Magazine (USA)

“We must get him in for a session after hearing this”- Janice Long (BBC Wales)

“This album will be a lifelong favourite” – Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff)

“A recognizably Irish soul singer” PennyBlackMusic.com
