Step off the beaten track and discover one of Kilkenny’s oldest traditions in a unique two-hour experience that combines heritage, craftsmanship and storytelling.

Join storyteller and Stonecutter Martin Matthews in his rural workshop, where locally quarried Kilkenny limestone and flagstone become the gateway to centuries of history. Watch traditional hand tools bring stone to life, hear fascinating stories of the quarries and the people who worked them, and uncover the folklore woven into the landscape.
